daughter of the sun and moon, known for all the trouble she gets herself and others into. capable of magnifying the intense emotions of others, many have fought over her, unsuccessfully resisted her charms, and paid the price for her whims. mischievous, unforgiving, tempestuous and always looking for something to kill her boredom, which seems constant unless she's busy messing someone around.

learned to fight back against all the hate, but in doing so she lost her humanity to the monster inside. temperamental, rough and merciless, there girl she used to be is long gone. innocence is weakness, it's no way to survive. likes to play games, twist the knife for as long as possible.

solitary and guarded, a monster-human hybrid trying to redeem himself in the wake of his destructive impulses. ever charming and business-like, known simply as "oxford" and gifted with an incredibly specific sense of smell, he is a tracker for hire, hunting down those lost or running - and when necessary, he disposes of wrong-doers as well.

quiet, unnerving and calculated, a devil with words that riot those who listen to him. he plays upon guilt, anger and fear, promising them a world of even greater darkness if they don't give him their soul. tactless and brash, he loves to stir trouble, force fights that he won't himself take part in. he likes to create chaos.

the young monster's toy, he is withdrawn, lacks trust and always expects the worst. will take any kindness offered to him, and despite all caution, finds it hard to resist the company of others when presented with a chance to have it. others don't hurt him like she does, and though everyone inevitably leaves him, he would rather take the pain of loss over what she inflicts.

alone, constantly uncertain, and at times very dangerous. a girl with plenty of blood on her hands and all the guilt in the world resting upon her shoulders, bundled into a body that's still young, sweet and sometimes a little hopeful. it might get better, though it probably won't. never usually as wary as she ought to be. a little bit in love.

( THE ORDER )an equal parts charming and insufferable telepath with a penchant for romantic poetry and fucking around - both literally and figuratively - with all the wrong people. self-centred, smarmy and selectively loyal, though with a clear softness for all things considered "family".

( THE SOAPBOX )much the same in overall character, albeit this time a publisher and novelist with both an expensive career and tastes. a surprisingly loving father to one daughter, and quite possibly on the verge of welcoming a second child - again, surprisingly.
